It was worth its 4 stars. Location close enough to Royal Victoria as well as the water front. Also, we could easily reach The Crystal.
-
I enjoyed staff and drinks.
-
I liked rooms and service. It was set near pubs and restaurants. Also, I was 5 minutes by walk from Royal Victoria Dock and Bridge.
-
I truly enjoyed food and drinks of this hotel. A huge variety of supplies in the room: a safe, a mini-bar and an iron.
-
We are happy to say that we thoroughly enjoyed staff and facilities.
-
A sumptuous and tasty breakfast buffet, beautiful terrace with a view of the dock with water sports, beautiful walks along the water and across the pedestrian bridge, short distances to public transport including the "Emirates cable car". Everything perfectly clean and very friendly, helpful staff.
Aircraft noise from starting planes, but that's just the way it is in the big city. Otherwise quiet and contemplatively situated, away from the usual hustle and bustle of the big city, like an oasis.
-
New hotel in favourable location to the City-Airport. Excellent for city breaks.
-
Beautiful spacious and clean room, good beds. Right next to the DLR station custom house for Excel. Short walk (5 minutes) to the Emirates cable car. Bathroom was also beautiful and for London standards very spacious. Nice breakfast. The evening meal at the restaurant and the stone oven pizzas they deliver to the room also looked delicious. Staff was friendly and helpful. Have to go to London again this year and will definitely stay here again.
From London Heathrow it's quite long before you get there. From London City you're there very quickly. Please note: from December 2018 the Elisabeth line will run and then you are within 45 minutes of Heathrow at the hotel.
-
very helpful staff, nice location and reasonable as long as booked through 3rd party
-
Good service, clean rooms, great breakfast, bar open late, very soft duvet and comfortable beds!
-
A spacious and comfortable room with excellent facilities. Flexible arrangements during the London Marathon. Sufficient staff at Reception to avoid unnecessary queueing.
-
staff very nice, very fancy hotel, had a cool ice machine outside room which was very useful. bathrooms were vey classy. very close to o2 arena which a helpful. very easily accessible from tube
could have had a dvd player in room or just normal TV channels
-
Great location opposite Excel and near the dlr station; very comfortable bed; well-equipped room; excellent shower and bath; friendly, helpful staff.
When I opened the window there was quite a lot of noise outside (including from the planes going to City Airport). Breakfast was expensive so I didn't have it. I'd have preferred a pool to a gym/sauna.
-
It was a great location for the Excel and very comfortable with good facilities in both the room and the hotel as a whole.
-
The hotel is new and has good rooms and generally impressive standards. Breakfast was excellent. Location is good in that the redeveloped dock area is attractive, and very convenient for the O2.
Not good for convenience to the West End. Broadband / films is expensive at £19.50.
